Enhanced clustering based routing protocol in vehicular ad‐hoc networks

Abstract A vehicular ad‐hoc network (VANET) is derived from a mobile that part of less infrastructure design. Vehicular communication in VANET can be achieved using vehicle‐to‐infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle‐to‐vehicle (V2V) communication. vehicle communicates with other vehicles through onboard units while communicating roadside an mode. Secure clustering required for the between nodes whole network. The fundamental problem instability occurs due to vehicles' nature, which decreases network's efficiency. This research proposes enhanced cluster‐based lifetime protocol ECBLTR focuses on maximising stability routing average throughput. Sugeno model fuzzy inference system used assessing cluster head (CH) takes residual energy, local distance, node degree, concentration, distance base station as input parameters. Our shows proper channel efficient enhances link throughput fixed size. results show selection method CH 10% increase lifetime. Furthermore, performance evaluation also demonstrates impact sizes protocols packet delivery ratio loss, end‐to‐end delay, overhead transmission.
